UPPSC Prelims To Be Held On December 22 In Two Shifts

In a big improvement, the Uttar Pradesh authorities has determined to conduct the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Fee (UPPSC) prelims examination on a single day, following protests by aspirants. The examination, initially scheduled for December 7 and eight, will now happen on December 22, 2024.

The examination will likely be performed in two shifts: the primary from 9.30am to 11.30am, and the second from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. The choice to revise the schedule comes after protests by tons of of scholars exterior the UPPSC workplace in Prayagraj. The aspirants had raised issues concerning the earlier multi-day examination format, claiming it was unfair and susceptible to inconsistencies.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intervened in response to the protests, directing the UPPSC to deal with the scholars’ grievances. In an official assertion, the UPPSC confirmed that the examination would now be held on a single day, citing the format utilized in earlier years for the Mixed State/Senior Subordinate Service Examination.

“In view of the character of the Mixed State/Senior Subordinate Service Examination, the Fee has determined in precept to conduct it on a single day, as was carried out earlier,” information company ANI quoted the UPPSC as saying.

The schedule change will cut back journey hassles for aspirants from throughout the state. Over 10 lakh candidates are anticipated to take the evaluation officer/assistant evaluation officer (Pre) examination.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak assured college students that their issues had been totally addressed. “The issue has been resolved. The state authorities is dedicated to college students’ welfare, and their calls for have been met,” Mr Pathak advised media individuals.
