Chairperson of Adani Basis, Priti Adani, on Monday, stated the passing away of one of many pioneers of ‘parallel cinema’ — film-maker and Nationwide Award winner Shyam Benegal — marks the top of an period in Indian cinema, including that his legacy will proceed to encourage others.

Shyam Sunder S. Benegal, a a number of Nationwide Award winner and among the many pioneers of ‘parallel cinema’ – with silver display screen classics like “Junoon”, “Ankur”, “Manthan”, “Zubeida” and “The Making of the Mahatma” – handed away after a protracted battle with a kidney illness, his household stated right here on Monday.
