Prayagraj District Justice of the Peace Ravindra Kumar Mandar on Thursday introduced the elimination of car entry restrictions in Prayagraj, which had been imposed for the sleek motion of devotees in the course of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Addressing considerations over studies circulating on social media, Mandar clarified, “A viral message claims that car entry in Prayagraj will stay restricted till February 4. That is fully baseless. The diversion scheme was carried out solely in view of the Mouni Amavasya snan (holy bathtub).”
“As of immediately, January 30, devotees are returning, and police have been instructed to take away the diversions and barricades. There will probably be no entry restrictions on automobiles on January 31, February 1, and February 4,” he mentioned.
Nevertheless, Mr Mandar clarified that the diversion scheme can be re-implemented on February 2 and three for the Basant Panchami snan.
“A separate course of for car entry into the mela space will probably be managed by the Mela Officer and the DIG, who will subject additional notifications. There are not any restrictions on automobiles inside the Prayagraj Commissionerate space,” he mentioned.
