The Delhi Excessive Courtroom on Friday refused to direct a sitting of the state meeting for tabling a number of CAG studies on governance. Justice Sachin Datta, nevertheless, stated there was an “inordinate delay” on a part of the Delhi authorities within the matter.
The courtroom underlined the tabling of the audit studies was obligatory below the Structure. “The courtroom is just not inclined to simply accept the prayer of the petitioner to summon a particular sitting of the meeting,” it held.
Opposition chief Vijender Gupta and BJP MLAs — Mohan Singh Bisht, Om Prakash Sharma, Ajay Kumar Mahawar, Abhay Verma, Anil Kumar Bajpai, and Jitendra Mahajan — filed the petition final 12 months and sought a path to the speaker to name a sitting of the meeting for tabling the CAG studies.
The petitioners filed the plea via advocates Neeraj and Satya Ranjan Swain.
The senior attorneys for the speaker and the federal government opposed the courtroom passing such a path and stated there was no urgency to desk the studies at a stage when the meeting elections have been to be held quickly.
