4 Boys Detained In Assam For Forcing Muslim Boy To Chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’


Guwahati:

4 boys have been detained in Assam for assaulting a Class 8 scholar, a Muslim, for refusing to chant “Jai Shree Ram”, mentioned the police.

The detained boys, say police sources, have been let go within the night.

The incident came about within the Chandrapur space of Silchar, the district headquarters of Cachar district of Assam.

The sufferer, a scholar at Narsing College, lives in Madhurbandh space of Silchar.

Based on stories, the scholar was accosted by a bunch of 4 boys whereas on his approach residence from faculty on Wednesday. Based on the attackers, the boy wrote one thing “objectionable” on the classroom wall. They assaulted him on the road, grabbed him by the ear and made him sit after which  pressured him to chant “Jai Shree Ram.” 

They filmed the assault after which uploaded it on social media, mentioned the police.

Following the viral unfold of the video, the sufferer’s household filed a grievance with the Chandrapur police station.

A case has been registered and an investigation into the matter is underway.
