The Delhi Police on Wednesday filed an FIR towards Parvesh Verma, a BJP candidate from the New Delhi meeting constituency Parvesh Verma for allegedly violating the Mannequin Code of Conduct (MCC) by distributing footwear within the Valmiki colony within the Mandir Marg Police Station space. The FIR was lodged after the Election Fee wrote to the Mandir Marg SHO relating to the incident.
The returning officer of the New Delhi Meeting constituency wrote a letter dated January 15 to the SHO. In it, he stated that the criticism had shared two purported movies wherein Verma may very well be seen distributing footwear to the ladies of the constituency.
