Three Maoists have been killed in an encounter with safety forces in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Thursday, state Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma mentioned.
The safety forces have achieved success within the anti-Maoist operation in Sukma, he mentioned.
Up to now, our bodies of three Maoists have been recovered and the search operation remains to be underway, Vijay Sharma, who holds the Residence portfolio, instructed reporters in Raipur.
Referring to the IED blast triggered by Maoists on January 6 whereby eight safety personnel and a civilian driver of their car have been killed in Bijapur district, the deputy CM mentioned, “There may be big anger amongst safety forces after what Maoists have achieved.” “I’ve met them (safety forces). I reiterate that with the power and braveness of our jawans, the (Maoist) menace will likely be eradicated inside the stipulated time,” he mentioned.
Union Residence Minister Amit Shah on Monday vowed to remove Maoists from the nation by March 2026 and asserted that the sacrifice of these killed by the extremists in Chhattisgarh won’t go in useless.
On Thursday morning, the encounter broke out in a forest alongside the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts when a joint staff of safety personnel was out on an anti-Maoist operation, police mentioned.
