Two girls devotees on their solution to Tirumala died right here in Tirupati district within the early hours of Monday after being hit by an ambulance, stated a police official.
A 108-ambulance coming from Piler hit the devotees round 4 am between Rangampeta and Mangapuram, stated the official.
“The ambulance hit seven devotees from behind. Two of them died and 5 others sustained accidents,” the official advised PTI. Police registered a case beneath part 106 clause 1 of BNS.
In the meantime, Tirupati superintendent of police L Subba Rayudu stated that fog might be the explanation for the early morning accident.
He exhorted the devotees preferring to go the temple by stroll, to tread on the facet of the highway and to be watchful in order that accidents may be be prevented. He additionally stated that winter nights are plagued with low visibility attributable to foggy situations.
