Kerala MLA PV Anvar Arrested In Forest Workplace Assault Case


Nilambur police charged PV Anvar and 10 others over the incident.

Nilambur legislator PV Anvar was arrested on Sunday for allegedly vandalising the District Forest Workplace (DFO) following a protest over the demise of a tribal man in an elephant assault on this north Kerala district, police mentioned.

Earlier within the day, PV Anvar, an impartial MLA, criticised the state authorities and the forest division over the demise of the tribal man Mani, who was trampled by a wild elephant on Saturday night.

The employees of the Democratic Motion of Kerala (DMK), a social collective led by the MLA, staged a protest in entrance of the forest workplace alleging negligence by wildlife personnel in addressing man-animal conflicts within the space. Practically 10 of them trespassed into the North DFO workplace and vandalised the workplace room.

Nilambur police booked PV Anvar and 10 others over the incident below numerous sections of the BNS and the Prevention of Injury to Public Property Act.
