The Union Dwelling Ministry has revoked the Union Dwelling Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation awarded to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Inspector Rahul Raj in 2023. The transfer follows his arrest in a bribery case, marking a major improvement within the struggle in opposition to corruption inside legislation enforcement companies.

“The Union Dwelling Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation, awarded to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Inspector Rahul Raj in 2023, has been revoked following his arrest in a bribery case. The choice to forfeit the distinguished medal comes after Raj was accused of accepting a bribe in change for manipulating inspection stories for nursing schools in Madhya Pradesh,” stated Union Dwelling Ministry in an order.

Inspector Raj stands accused of accepting bribes in change for tampering with inspection stories associated to nursing schools in Madhya Pradesh. The allegations have raised issues about moral practices in important regulatory oversight.

The medal, thought of one of the crucial prestigious honors for investigative excellence in India, was awarded to Raj for his contributions in fixing complicated circumstances. Its forfeiture underscored the federal government’s zero-tolerance method in direction of corruption and misconduct.

Additional investigations into the bribery allegations are ongoing, with the CBI assuring stringent measures to uphold integrity inside its ranks.
