Gurugram:
Seven college students of ITI, Gurugram had been arrested for allegedly beating up a bus driver and conductor following a verbal argument over tickets, police stated on Saturday.
The incident occurred when the bus driver and the conductor obtained down from the bus on the final cease, they stated, including that town bus ran between Millennium Metropolis Metro Station to Gurugram Railway Station.
In his criticism to the police, bus conductor Lalaram stated that on December 21, round 4.20 pm, the bus left for the railway station from the Millenium Metropolis Metro Station when some college students boarded the bus at Industrial Coaching Institute (ITI) Chowk.
Lalaram stated they weren’t paying for the tickets, which is why they’d an argument with them. Later the scholars obtained down on the final cease, he stated.
He stated after parking the bus, driver Rajesh Kumar and he obtained down from the car and went to get some water when the ITI college students gathered and began beating us up.
“When individuals began to assemble, the scholars fled away after threatening to kill me,” Lalaram stated in his criticism.
Following the criticism, an FIR was registered at Sector 9A Police Station and the police on Friday arrested seven accused — Mohit (18), Kartik (18), Sunny (21), Saurav (18), Akshay (20), Chetan Sharma (20) and Himanshu (18), police stated.
A senior police officer stated that they had been let off on bail.
