5 Employees Injured In Transmission Tower Collapse In UP’s Prayagraj


Prayagraj:

5 staff had been injured when a 400-kilowatt transmission line tower collapsed right here on Saturday, officers stated.

ACP (Tharwai) Chandrapal Singh stated that on Saturday, some electrical work was underway on a 400-kilowatt transmission line connecting Bengal to Delhi within the Sahason space below Tharwai police station.

In the identical sequence, whereas pulling the wire, a tower out of the blue fell on the employees and injured them, the ACP stated.

The police reached the spot and rushed the injured staff to a hospital. Two of them had been discharged after receiving first support, whereas three had been severely injured and had been referred to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj, ACP stated.

Additional investigation into the matter is underway, he added.

In the meantime, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ganganagar) Kuldeep Gunawat clarified that the incident occurred in a rural space, removed from the town and isn’t associated to the Maha Kumbh preparations.
