Air pollution curbs below GRAP-3 have been revoked in Delhi and the Nationwide Capital Area after air high quality improved within the space following steady rain since Friday morning.
“Owing to the beneficial meteorological situations and steady rains since early morning, the AQI of Delhi has been repeatedly enhancing and has been recorded as 348 at 5:00 PM and 341 at 6:00 PM & 334 at 7:00 PM,” the Fee for Air High quality Administration (CAQM), which is the air pollution watchdog for the Nationwide Capital Area (NCR) and adjoining areas, mentioned in a press release.
The CAQM mentioned that as per the air high quality and climate forecast by the India Meteorological Division and IIT Madras, the AQI of Delhi is predicted to stay within the ‘poor’ class (between 200 and 300) for the following few days.
Beneath Graded Response Motion Plan (GRAP) 3, there was a ban on the operation of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers in Delhi and components of the NCR like Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Noida, which can now be lifted.
Restrictions on the usage of diesel generator units may also be eased, as will some curbs on development actions.
