President Joe Biden mentioned on Wednesday he requested the U.S. Protection Division to proceed its surge of weapons deliveries to Ukraine after condemning Russia’s Christmas Day assault towards a few of Ukraine’s cities and its power system.
“The aim of this outrageous assault was to chop off the Ukrainian folks’s entry to warmth and electrical energy throughout winter and to jeopardize the security of its grid,” Biden mentioned in a press release. Republican President-elect Donald Trump will exchange Democrat Biden on Jan. 20.
Russia attacked Ukraine’s power system and a few cities with cruise and ballistic missiles plus drones on Wednesday, Ukraine mentioned. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Washington has dedicated $175 billion in support for Ukraine.
