The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Company (IRCTC) web site and cell utility have been restored 1.5 hours after an outage. Hundreds have been unable to e-book railway tickets this morning because of a glitch within the web site and cell utility, the second in a month.
A significant outage was reported when customers have been attempting to e-book Tatkal (emergency) tickets at 10 am. They reportedly acquired a message that learn “unable to carry out motion because of upkeep exercise” after they have been trying to entry the location.
Many customers expressed their frustration on social media.
“Tatkal reserving throughout the vacation season is a nightmare. Servers crash proper when bookings open. That is the worst web site I’ve ever used. Why hasn’t this been mounted regardless of repeated complaints?,” a consumer wrote on X (previously Twitter). attaching a screenshot of the web site.
“It’s 10:11am … nonetheless IRCTC shouldn’t be opening…. IRCTC needs to be enquired and checked… undoubtedly scams are taking place. By the point it opens all of the tickets are gone…,” one other consumer wrote with the screenshots of web site.
“IRCTC server down throughout Tatkal reserving timings. IRCTC Rail join & IRCTC Subsequent Technology eTicketing System Cannot work throughout Tatkal reserving hours,” a consumer wrote.
“Extraordinarily dissatisfied with the IRCTC web site. It crashes or slows down nearly each time, particularly throughout Tatkal reserving hours!
