Defence Minister Israel Katz on Monday acknowledged that Israel had killed former Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran earlier this yr, as he warned the navy would “decapitate” the management of Yemen’s Huthi rebels.

“We’ll strike laborious on the Huthis… and decapitate their management — simply as we did with Haniyeh, (Yahya) Sinwar, and (Hassan) Nasrallah in Tehran, Gaza, and Lebanon, we are going to accomplish that in Hodeida and Sanaa,” Katz stated, within the first public acknowledgement that Israel was behind the killing of Haniyeh in July within the Iranian capital.
