Maharashtra Cupboard Growth: The much-awaited cupboard enlargement of the BJP-led Maharashtra authorities passed off on Sunday (December 15), with 39 ministers, taking its energy to 42. Notably, the council of ministers in Maharashtra can have a most of 43 members, together with the chief minister.
Whereas 33 legislators had been sworn in as cupboard ministers, six took oath as ministers of state. Within the enlargement, BJP bought 19 ministerial berths, adopted by 11 for Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and 9 for Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Occasion.
Maharashtra governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath to the brand new ministers on the Raj Bhavan. For the second time after 1991, the swearing-in ceremony of ministers was organized in Nagpur.

Maharashtra Meeting Elections 2024
The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance secured a landslide victory within the elections, profitable 235 Meeting seats, whereas the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi managed solely 49 seats. The Meeting election within the state was held in a single section on November 20. The outcomes of state elections had been declared on November 23, and the names of elected legislative meeting members had been printed within the Maharashtra authorities state gazette vide the ECI’s notification. This was carried out as per the provisions of part 73 of the Illustration of Individuals Act, 1951.
