Police seized Rs 86.50 lakh in money from a automobile within the Seawoods space of Navi Mumbai on Wednesday night amid enforcement of the mannequin code of conduct for the November 20 Maharashtra meeting polls, an official stated.
Based on the Navi Mumbai police official, the crime department had obtained data that a considerable amount of money was being introduced in a automobile to the realm.
Crime department sleuths intercepted the automobile reverse Krishna Lodge in Sector 42A, Seawoods (West), and recovered Rs 86,50,000 from the car, he stated.
Three individuals, Loknath Govindchandra Mohanty (33), Ratilal Ambabhai Patel (38) and Vineet Mohanlal Sharma (45) — have been travelling within the automobile. When questioned in regards to the money within the automobile, they failed to provide any passable reply, in keeping with the official.
