Cyclone Dana makes landfall: Flight operations at Biju Patnaik Intnl Airport to renew at 8 AM

The India Meteorological Division (IMD) introduced that tropical cyclone ‘Dana’ began making landfall off the coast of Odisha on Wednesday night time. The phenomenon is anticipated to proceed until Friday morning. Coastal districts like Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore and Jagatsinghpur have already got 100-110 kms.

The cyclone was transferring northwest at a velocity of 15 kmph and hit about 110 kmph between Bhitrakanika, Bhadraka and Dhamaranagar within the centre. In line with Umashankar Das, a senior scientist on the Regional Meteorological Centre, wind speeds can attain 120 km per hour because the storm heart hits land.
